Gerdau is currently seeking an Account Specialist for its Tampa, FL corporate facility.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for selling certain products to selected accounts within a specific geographical region.
This position is closest to the customer and is responsible for building new relationships as well as sales activities pertaining to sales order receipt, product delivery, product pricing, invoice claims, credit memorandums and customer problem resolution in their assigned territory.
This position is responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with existing and potential customers, resolving or assisting in resolving customer complaints to the mutual satisfaction of the customer, obtaining information on competitive activities, being alert to market or product changes.
As directed, make some customer calls with various sales personnel to enhance customer relations.
Incumbent must take ownership of customer knowledge and listening in order to maintain a proactive approach to customer needs.
Sell mill products to selected accounts within a specific geographical area.
Build and maintain new and existing customers' accounts.
Aspire to exceed goals for all accounts by focusing on the territory forecast.
Maintain a good working relationship with existing and potential customers, resolving or assisting in resolving customer complaints.
Obtain information on competitive activities, staying alert to market or product changes.
Make some customer calls with various sales personnel.
Assist in establishing sales goals, including forecast of quarterly shipments and pricing.
Maintain awareness that inventory levels are adequate and verify order levels are maintained properly in both the stock and rollings.
Verify shipment activity is on time as to assure that customers' requirements are being met.
Works closely with Credit and Transportation departments.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or other.
Minimum of two years of Inside Sales experience.
Requires experience working in a manufacturing environment, steel preferred.
Strong negotiating skills.
SAP experience a plus.
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
Ability to work in fast paced environment
