Gerdau is currently seeking a Security Analyst II for its Tampa, FL facility.

Responsibilities:
The Security Analyst II is responsible for assisting in the daily monitoring and remediation of security events across the enterprise in an overall effort to minimize the potential for a breach in security and to continually improve the security posture of Gerdau.
The Security Analyst II will ensure the most cost-effective, reliable, available, secure, user-friendly performance of functionality though the design, configuration, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of IT resources to meet identified business requirements, in accordance with established policies, procedures, guidelines, and internal processes.
Responsible for assisting many technical aspects of the IT Security functional area including, but not limited to: security monitoring, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, e-discovery, basic forensic work, malware & anti-virus detection and eradication, networking security, server hardening procedures, access control, patch management, and web content filtering. Responsible for contacting customer and requesting payment in a timely manner.
Responsible to provide input into annual risk assessment, ISO 27001-2 reviews, security awareness training program, ongoing security based projects, creation and updating of security policies, security incident response, and security reviews.
Interact with Gerdau associates, customers, and suppliers to meet service levels.
Participate as needed in Critical Incident and Implementation reviews.
Research, resolve, and respond to requests received via the Service Desk and other channels.
Analyze and evaluate present or proposed business procedures or problems.
Create knowledgebase solutions, including review and approval from Security Analyst I, and provide assistance to Service Desk associates and other channels.
Record, communicate, and resolve technical and non-technical issues.
Write and maintain system documentation.
Monitor security events on a daily basis for suspicious activities and identify potential security threats and violations. Assist with security events tuning, working toward achieving minimal false positives.
Investigate, validate, and help mitigate security alerts based on their priority.
Assist in conducting regularly scheduled internal and external vulnerability assessments. Work with members of the Operations functional area to ensure all identified items are remediated on a timely basis.
Ability to understand the details/output of VA tools and to be able to recognize false positives. Must be able to communicate detailed technical findings and corresponding risk to system administrators.
Conduct regularly scheduled reviews of the organizations firewalls (rule sets, etc.).
Work with members of Operations functional area to ensure the proper levels of hardening are applied to servers prior to production deployment.
Provide security reviews of new applications and existing application changes prior to production deployment.
Ability to review remote and wireless access across the organization.
Respond to activities deemed to be improper or in violation of Information Security policies. Based on the type of incident have the ability to follow the proper incident response procedures to effectively handle the given situation.
Maintaining high level of confidentiality.
Successfully managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with non-technical individuals helping them understand risk and security options.
Continually keep up to date with the latest security trends, threats, emerging technologies, etc.
Experience with patch management and compliance monitoring.
Take initiative in finding solutions to difficult and/or sensitive problems.
Ability to perform basic forensic and e-discovery tasks.
Provide insight and participation in security based projects.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree combined with 3-5 years relevant work experience in a related field.
Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) required.
Problem solving skills including providing alternative options/approaches through the use of cost-benefit comparisons, identifying potential impacts of problems, and identifying and solving team problems.
Working technical knowledge of company supported hardware, software, and operating systems including configuration and connectivity.
Essential analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Developed written, technical documentation, and oral communication skills, with ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Solid customer service skills.
Due to the nature of the activity, Security Analyst II must have good written and verbal communication, be a team player, and effective people skills. Must be able to share information and communicate clearly with team members and internal customers.
