Director - IT Applications (Developing Mkts, Industrial, JDAS Divisions)(Paid Membership Site) -

Experience engaging with global resources in a mutually positive manner Experience in the development life cycle and deployment of global systems Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for collaborating on customer facing tools or supporting processes driven by the customer, though they can contribute to the solution.
The team reporting through the manager(s) overseeing the customer integration work will manage the customer facing changes.
Responsible for working with regional CTOs to drive application rationalization, adoption of consistent tools across the division, and drive down the IT costs.
Must stay abreast of the corporate capabilities that are made available to ensure the division is leveraging correctly and not creating duplication.
Resource types assigned to or reporting directly to the position may include SMEs, developers, configuration specialists, and other roles as determined necessary.
Role will cover all sites for JDAS, Industrial & Energy, and Developing Markets divisions Leadership and Executive Management Recruitment and Retention:
Recruit, interview and hire Coach staff in the interviewing/hiring process.
Employee and Team Development:
Coach and mentor Information Services staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
Performance Management:
Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.
Coordinate activities of large teams and keep them focused in times of crises.
Ensure recognition and rewards are managed fairly and consistently in area of responsibility.
Communication:
Ask questions; encourage input from staff.
Know and understand the campus strategic directions.
Define, develop and implement an Information Services strategy, which contributes to the campus strategic directions.
Develop an understanding of the workcell business strategy as it pertains to Information Services.
FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES Business Strategy and Direction:
Know and understand the campus strategic directions.

Cost Management:
Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
Forecast Development and Accuracy:
Prepare timely forecasts for the department.
Compare forward forecast results to historical actual results for trend assessment and analysis.
TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES Work with the business users and organizational groups to develop solutions to business processes.
Define information systems requirements.
Ensure internal customers needs analysis is in alignment with business initiatives.
Proactively drive continuous improvement throughout the enterprise through enhancements to the application infrastructure, processes & knowledge transfer.
Establish new measurement systems if/where possible.
Exchange knowledge and information with other Jabil facilities to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Jabil organization.
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
Be proficient and knowledgeable in all areas related to the IT department functions.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements Bachelor's Degree required.
Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
Six (6) to eight (8) years work-related experience required in a relevant Jabil IT position and a minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory or management role within an IT department.
Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
