Lead/Architect Storage Job description A standard 40 hour work week is expected with some weekend work.
- Essential Duties Collaborate on defining the storage architecture and strategy based in management directive.
Architect comprehensive solutions taking into account:
Cost, sizing, infrastructure, data protection, and application requirements.
Work with business clients to evaluate, streamline, and improve current systems, processes, and workflow.
Envisioning solutions and assisting project teams on implementations.
Lead operations teams to develop and implement systems related standards and best practices.
Ensure that all appropriate documentation is created or updated as needed.
Mentor and review work of less senior team members - Required Skills Extensive experience with EMC SAN platforms and solutions Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows server products Extensive experience with FC switch fabric and storage lifecycle management Extensive knowledge and understanding of HP Servers / ESX environments Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases Knowledge and understanding of Open Systems OS Knowledge of WAN data replication techniques, logical disk, physical disk and Enterprise backup topologies Ability to time manage effectively in a dynamic environment, and deliver objectives when expected.
Ability to document strategies and designs and present to management with benefit analysis Previous experience delegating, overseeing and reviewing others work.
