As a legal assistant, you will assist the Professional Practice Manager in the handling of medical records requests that are received from law firms.
You will work with the Senior Scheduler in setting up physician phone calls, physician depositions, and in the preparation of patient charts for use in depositions.
Duties:
Answering phone calls from patients and attorney offices Creating paper charts and electronic charts (PDF files) Following up on invoices due for depositions and reports Assisting other team members when help is needed Education &
Experience:
2 Years of college, or a minimum of 2 years of work experience at a law firm.
Qualification & Requirements:
Professional demeanor Highly skilled in verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Excellent organization skills and detail oriented Critical thinker/problem solver Ability to navigate multiple computer programs on a daily basis (programs currently include EHR, NexGen, Salesforce, ShareFile) Understanding of HIPAA compliance in order to protect patient confidentiality Required to work a minimum of 8 hours per day Monday through Friday during business hours Work Location:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
