With five medical helicopters , we transport critically injured or ill patients from 23 surrounding counties to receive the advanced care they need.
The hospital is home to one of the busiest solid organ transplant centers in the country.
TGH is a nationally designated comprehensive stroke center, and has a 32-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit.
Other outstanding centers include cardiovascular, orthopedics, high-risk and normal obstetrics, urology, ENT, endocrinology, and the Children's Medical Center, which features a nine-bed pediatric intensive care unit and pediatric kidney transplant services.

Department Profile The Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Units feature a admit/discharge unit, complex medicine, joint replacement, orthopedics, medical observation unit, neuroscience, oncology, primary care, specialty surgery, the nursing rehab unit, the Acute Care for the Elderly Unit (ACE), Adult Stepdown Unit, cardiac observation, cardiac telemetry, CV Center, and cardiovascular telemetry.
TGH has 604 Medical-Surgical/Telemetry beds.
These units value the art and science of nursing and offer a high level of interaction with patients and families.
Job Summary The Patient Care Technician/ Nurse Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care, including provision for patient's dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety and physical and psychological comfort measures, to patient and significant others, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
This position is ideal for a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.
N.
A.
) or a current Nursing Student seeking to gain additional experience in an acute care clinical setting while contributing to world class patient care.
Collaborates with Nurses, Providers, and many others to support complete care of the patient.
Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with TGH's mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or G.

D required.
Florida CNA license required.
Hospital PCT/CNA experience preferred.
Nursing students:
