HVAC Residential New Construction Trim Mechanic II (Tampa, FL)

Primary
Responsibilities:
Prepares trims on new air conditioning and heating systems in residential new construction homes.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
Select types of material according to the product being fabricated, knowledge of duct materials, and job standards and specifications.
Install HVAC equipment, fans, grilles, dampers, wiring, and piping as directed May fabricate and install assemblies and systems in manufacturing plants or work sites according to blueprints, specifications, and other resource information using hand tools, portable power tools, and other specialized equipment.
Measure, size, cut, and apply duct insulation Braze and solder various metals to connect piping Read a duct & Ventilation plan Use a ductulator to determine the proper duct size Run copper and drain lines Extensive knowledge in the process of making and repairing duct materials, copper, and composite parts.
Obtain the required tools needed to perform all jobs assigned Arrive at the job site at scheduled time and location as instructed Always maintain professional appearance and attitude Demonstrate mechanical aptitude Develop communication and teamwork skills with supervisors and co-workers on job sites Report any job and/or safety-related issues directly to the supervisor Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Ensure compliance with all Del-Air policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
At least one year of experience relating to HVAC residential installation, two years preferred.
Eligible to legally work in the United States.
Have a valid driver's license and able to meet FCCI auto guidelines to operate a company-owned vehicle.
Ability to be in attics, roofs, etc.
- cannot have a fear of extreme heights.
Ability to travel, if needed.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to work flexible hours including overtime as needed Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
Ability to thrive in a team environment.
