This person will be part of a communications and marketing team that largely works M-F in-person on the Tampa campus but there will be opportunities for remote work on occasion provided goals are being consistently met and projects are completed in a timely fashion.

POSITION
Summary:
This position exists to support communications and marketing efforts for USF Innovative Education.
Functions include writing stories for the website, writing features for newsletters and external outreach, writing news releases for potential pitches.
This person will work with academic units across USF to find subjects for stories, which will range from students to alumni to newsworthy program changes.
This person will also work with teammates to write or edit website copy, bios, or content related to online programming where Innovative Education partners with other units.
This person will also write content for email blasts related to Corporate Training and Professional Development programs.
Future newsletters are envisioned for targeted audiences and this position will be responsible for the content, design and distribution.
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:
This position requires someone with training in oral and written communications, familiarity with AP Style, and the use of the tools such as a CMS, Constant Contact and Sprout.

Maintain and/or collaborate on website maintenance, including posting stories, releases, photos and other content.
Write content for email blasts related to Corporate Training and Professional Development programs.
Future newsletters are envisioned for targeted audiences and this position will be responsible for the content, design and distribution, serving as writer and editor.
Assist with social media posts and report metrics.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in mass communications, advertising, or marketing.
This position requires a minimum of four years' experience in writing and communications team roles, preferably in higher education.
The ideal candidate should be a strong journalistic writer who is well-versed in AP Style.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate an understanding of a variety of writing styles, including feature stories, website copywriting, writing for social media, and bios.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Samples of work must be included, and a cover letter is strongly recommended.
The ability to write for different media/purposes (web, social, news, content marketing, landing pages) and demonstrated ability to write for these varied audiences/purposes is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
