Summary:
The USF Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is an integral part of USF and its mission by sponsoring a diverse and nationally competitive Division I athletic program.
The program serves several significant constituencies, including its student-athletes, who are students first.
The most important priority of the program is the progress of the student-athletes toward graduation.
Other priorities include the health, fitness and emotional development of student-athletes at USF.
Intercollegiate Athletics provide a sense of collegiality, allegiance, and pride for students, staff, faculty, alumni, boosters and the greater Tampa Bay community at large and serves as a focal point for their support.
Within the framework of competitive excellence, Intercollegiate Athletics at USF are also a contact vehicle leading supporters to a greater awareness of the University's mission, academic programs and prominence as an educational institution.
POSITION
Summary:
Responsible for assisting the University's Intercollegiate Athletics program by performing specialized support in the areas of capital projects, facilities, and development.
Duties include coordination of facility planning, construction projects, support for renovations, and creation of a comprehensive plan to ensure facilities are maintained without interruption to events, and provide direction on outside fundraising events.
Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains comprehensive facility improvement and maintenance plan.
Coordinates with others, internally and externally, to ensure that facility needs are communicated, coordinated, and executed seamlessly.
Organizes renovation and construction for capital improvement projects for Athletics Facilities.
Serves as a liaison with university departments, external agencies, general public, and outside architects, engineers, and contractors.
Prepares and maintains bid documents for publicly advertised construction projects.
Participates in long-term planning meetings regarding upcoming events.
Ensures facilities are maintained to standards and any repairs are completed without disruption to events.
Prepare and provide reports on related project issues, i.
e.
technical reports, job meeting minutes, change orders, etc.
for Athletic Director, Deputy Athletic Director and Athletics Senior Leadership.
Coordinates with sports staff to ensure that facilities are maintained to standards and any repairs are completed without disruption to events.
Performs physical inspections of the facilities on a routine basis ensuring that safety and appearance issues have been appropriately addressed.
Plans and schedules hospitality events at USF Athletics home sporting events, including football, men's basketball, and women's basketball.
Responsible for the planning and coordination of all logistics for special events related to the Bulls Club, including signature fundraising events and donor engagement events.
Identifies, cultivates, and solicits prospective sponsors for signature fundraising events.
Responsible for organizing and coordinating all stewardship opportunities for prospective and current sponsors of signature fundraising events.
Assists the Executive Deputy Athletics Director/Capital Projects & Facilities with a wide variety of support duties ranging from general clerical support to administrative coordination.
Organizes schedules and meetings, and maintains forms, files and other records.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM:
Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
