Brohl is a physician-scientist with an expertise in rare cancers and background in bioinformatics/genomics research.
The Brohl laboratory blends in-silico analysis using modern sequencing and array technologies with more traditional molecular oncology techniques.
Currently, a focus of the laboratory is the study of the pan-cancer role of the chromosome 19 microRNA cluster across human malignancies.
Position Highlights:
A Research Associate II position is available in the laboratory of Dr.
Brohl.
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and team-oriented individual that has a willingness to learn.
The Ideal Candidate:
Demonstrates proficiency in basic laboratory techniques including cell culture.
Has comfort working with mouse models of cancer.
Familiarity and experience with bioinformatics research (e.
g.
next generation sequencing) is preferred but not required.
Applicants with prior experience working in a research setting is required.
Responsibilities:
The employee with assist the PI and other lab members by performing research and experimentation following established protocols.
The employee will also be required to maintain detailed records, establish procedures, and process and analyze data.
Credentials and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in biology or related field Minimum 1 year of hands-on research experience is required Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute Clinical Science Lab Schedule:
Full Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
