Job Overview:
The Hospital Managed Care Contracter is responsible for completing select negotiations (Hospitals, ASC, Clinic) to secure optimal reimbursement, protecting Shriners Children's interests in contract negotiations, and the successful implementation/management of third-party pay agreements with payors.
This position requires occasional travel on an as needed basis.
Employees in this role must be based in Tampa but may work remotely on a regular basis.
The pay range for this position is $120,660 - $180,990/annually.
Compensation is determined based on experience and department equity.
Responsibilities:
Developes and maintains external third-party pay and other related provider and plan contractual relationships to support the current and future strategic financial goals, mission, vision, and values.
Responsible for proactively planning and prioritizing third-party pay negotiations to support the system, facilities, and market growth and development.
Assists in the coordination/implementation of third-party pay agreemenents, which may include routine calls/visits with SCH locations and payor orientations Disseminate pertinent contract/plan information to applicable internal stakeholders This is not an all-inclusive list of the Hospital Managed Care Contracter responsibilities.
The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
10
years experience in a healthcare / health system setting 7
years experience with managed care, health system contractual terms, and reimbursement methodologies 5
years of payor relations experience in a managed care setting Preferred:
7
years contractual negotations in a managed care/health system setting.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
