97 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Collections-Collector To preserve the credit union's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and mail, takes appropriate action to bring current.
Performs outbound and inbound calls on delinquent loans, credit cards and negative share accounts.
Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers; makes recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.
Maintains accurate files and reports on all collection activity.
Testifies at legal proceedings as required.
Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing delinquent/charged-off loans.
To identify and inform management of potential underwriting problems.
All employees are made aware of their responsibilities under the BSA/CIP/OFAC regulations with continuing training, to ensure that they adhere to our internal policy and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Six months to two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
A high school education or GED.
