Fortune 500 Company located in Tampa, FL seeks a Paralegal (Mortgage Review) for a long-term, temporary position expected to last three (3) months. The hourly rate is up to $22/hour plus overtime, depending upon experience.

Primary Duties

Summary: Assist with the document management initiative by reviewing documents to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.

Key Roles and
Responsibilities:
Function as Coordinator, interfacing with senior management, attorneys, and vendors in the preparation of mortgage loan documents
Draft recommendations and requirements for document handling
Conduct legal research as needed.
Develop, maintain, and run reports from database systems and assist on other projects on an as-needed basis
Requirements
Associate degree in paralegal studies or Bachelor's degree coupled with a certificate in paralegal studies
Experience in mortgage industry required
Paralegal certification by an institution approved by the American Bar Association - required
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage one's time
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the democratic political process
Proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
