Provides technical and design services in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems for design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities. Provides Revit and CAD design on projects with the ability to supervise additional Revit or CAD technicians and designers when needed on projects including assigning work, answering questions, and checking their work for accuracy and provides guidance in support of electrical engineering projects. Designs engineering/architecture drawings with little direction. Keeps Project Managers informed on the group's progress, availability, budgets and schedules. Works directly with the various Project Managers and design teams according to assignment. Establishes and maintains CAD standards. Responsible to insure consistency in design of others. Required Experience 5 years of electrical engineering AutoCAD design Vocational certificate or two year degree in Engineering, or related field required. BS Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Experience using Revit software is a plus. Experience with healthcare work is preferred. Experience with electrical commercial construction/installation is a plus. Methodical, precise, and consistent but enjoys some variety in work schedule and can tolerate change. Enjoys being challenged. Enjoys working alone when required, but can work effectively on a project team. Demonstrates a level of decisiveness and directness sufficient to effectively direct design staff activities toward project goals. Is steady and is less process than results oriented. Must have a level of communication and social skills sufficient to work with Engineers and able to motivate design/CAD staff. Must be technically proficient in area of work and software required. Willing communicator and able to ask questions when necessary. Must be able to climb ladders and perform field survey duties. Able to complete work consistently with flexibility to accommodate varying project demands. Must maintain a high level of precision and accuracy and be methodical in approach to work. Must have a level of acceptance and persuasiveness required to effectively work with other members of the project team. May or may not require a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Electrical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
