Summary:
Leonardo DRS GES is one of the lines of business of Leonardo DRS. GES is largest provider of SATCOM based ICT solutions to the Federal Government. The Communication Project Engineer will be part of a matrixed Engineering and Technical Operations Team acting as the primary interface to the Program Manager assigned key programs and opportunities. The role calls for a dynamic team player with high-level subject matter expertise in various disciplines as relates to providing SATCOM based end-to-end solutions on all platforms of operation including on the pause, on the move, in the air and on the sea. Job Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities o Review customer requirements (PWS/SOW/RFQ) and lead a cross-functional project team to develop technically feasible, compliant, cutting edge, and cost-effective solution(s) o Participate in engineering change proposal efforts, as a primary technical interface to Engineering team members in areas of SATCOM (RF), Microwave on Maritime Platforms o Participate and contribute to pricing of communications terminals, maintenance materials and procurement efforts o Participate in and lead technical meetings and interactions with industry partners in development of complex communications solution(s) o Assist Program Manager in developing notional transition plans as relates to capture effort o Support response to white papers, RFIs, presentations o Participate in document color reviews o Support travel to trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, presentations, seminars, etc. o As a primary technical interface to PMO (Program Management Organization) on assigned key programs, responsibilities include:
o Project Management support in areas project life cycle management such as technical planning, implementation, risk management, resource co-ordination, reporting, customer meetings and program reviews o Primary technical interface to support PM (Program Manager) on program growth including ECPs (Engineering Change Proposals), customer interaction and vendor management o Provide architectural and other technical expertise to both customer and engineering teams as new requirements arise o Travel to customer locations as needed o Mentor and coach less experienced engineers Job Responsibilities Part II Qualifications Qualifications o Bachelors degree in related technical field or 5 years experience or combination of education and experience o Must be 8570.2 IAT Level 2 certified or able to obtain within 6 months of joining (Network
& Security+) IAT Level 3 certification (such as CISSP) desirable o Must be a U.S Citizen with an ability to obtain Secret or higher-level clearance o Expertise/experience in desired technical fields to include:
o GEO/MEO and LEO SATCOM vendors and constellations and understanding of link budgets o Broad experience with multiple vendors very- small-aperture-terminals and deployment techniques o Experience and understanding of various satellite modem providers; preferred experience with iDirect, NewTech, and Comtech, ViaSat and/or comparable providers o Understanding of WAN networking technologies/vendors in areas of terrestrial infrastructure, routing, switching, firewalls, VTC, VoIP, etc. o Broad understanding of Information Assurance and Cyber requirements as relates to overall end-to-end solution design Preferences o Experience in providing end-to-end SATCOM and microwave solutions o Experience with microwave and line of sight terrestrial systems is desired
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
