WSP is currently initiating a search for a Sr Drainage Engineer for our Tampa, FL office with experience in the design of roadway projects. As a Sr Drainage Engineer you will be responsible for an entire project, including client communication and supervision of others. Duties will include the analysis of complex design problems, function as a representative at project meetings and conferences, and plan, organize and supervise technical staff and activities for a project of significant size and complexity. Your Impact Determine well-defined methods for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, subsurface utility information, maps, hydrologic analysis, geotechnical data, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction. Perform professional civil engineering work and conduct research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, resources, building, infrastructure, and transportation channels to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits. Designing and coordinating the drainage portion of a Civil/Transportation team Designing and coordinating the drainage efforts of projects with all aspects of Transportation Design from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design Coordinating with other design disciplines Preparing plans, specifications, and bid packages Ensuring that production of specifications, reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing the work of Junior-level Engineers. Providing training to junior-level Engineers Participating in client interactions Supporting business development initiatives Prepare technical reports and presentations that explain research, findings, and recommendations to improve, prevent, control, restore, or address design and/or construction issues or opportunities. Assist in the analysis, evaluation, and interpretation of data obtained during field investigations, offering input with developing action plans for moderate- to high-level risk mitigation activities. Prepare and implement site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs). Comply with regulatory requirements pertaining to the data integrity, documentation, procedures, training, monitoring systems, and record compliance and retention. Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner. Remain current in latest civil engineering techniques and practices. Work collaboratively with other engineers and planners on projects with infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related discipline. 5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior civil design experience. Engineer in Training Certification. Proficient knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues. Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including active involvement in a variety of rehabilitation and new design projects. Working knowledge with process and concepts for reducing and eliminating the use or generation of hazardous substances/greenhouse gas. Working knowledge of relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements. Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, discipline-specific design software (i.e., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, Geopak, GeoSlope, ANSYS, STADD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS), technology, math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools. Developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution. Ability to assertively direct others in the field such as subcontractors and others to consistently complete tasks safely and efficiently. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Preferred Qualifications Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida Experience as Lead engineer or designer Design experience with project related floodplain modeling Design experience with OpenRoadsDesigner ORD on roadway design projects. Experience supporting business development activities Affiliation with local professional societies.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
