DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) RESPONSIBILITIES Implement active treatment, training programs, behavior plans/protocols and service goals including, but not limited to areas of self-help, daily living, social skills, leisure activities, and community inclusion Aid with personal care including toileting, bathing, dressing, meal assistance, and hygiene needs Complete housekeeping duties and observe health and/or safety issues Drive large capacity vehicles (10 - 15 passenger vans/wheelchair buses) to/from the training center and other outings (non-driving roles available) DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or working in a nursing home or childcare setting or educational equivalent (preferred, but not required) Florida Driver's License in good standing (if driving position) Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship Read, write and comprehend English Perform physical requirements associated with transferring/positioning individuals, implementing behavioral crisis management, and lifting/carrying up to 50lbs.
