AR/Collections Specialist responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, collections using multiple accounting software's and submitting invoices.
Proficient working knowledge of QuickBooks Online is needed.
Excellent customer relations and communication skills required.
Position will be responsible for processing business transactions, such as accounts payable and receivable, collections and any other tasks assigned by management.
A successful AR/Collections Specialist should be attentive to details, Self Starter, Fast Learner and open to learning.
Ultimately, a successful AR/Collections Specialist will ensure that the company's daily administrative functions run accurately and effectively.
Responsibilities Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department Accurate and timely A/R processing, collections, invoicing and payments Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records Provide assistance and support to company personnel Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws Reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
Skills Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Collections Specialist Familiarity with basic accounting procedures and administrative procedures.
Competency in MS Office, databases and QuickBooks Online Hands-on experience with spreadsheets with at least intermediate level knowledge Accuracy and attention to detail required Aptitude for numbers Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks Data entry and word processing skills Well organized Reliable Transportation or Logistic knowledge is a plus.
