You will be responsible for interacting with the management team and your direct reports, ensuring we send a quality product out the door, and helping to maintain and grow our safety & quality standards.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Creates and reinforces safety standards and policy while keeping the management team up to date and helps to enforce accountability Maintains and implements safety Gemba documents Assist in creating and maintaining SOPs Holds monthly safety team meetings with relevant topics for the safety team Conducts time studies and job safety analysis as needed Maintain tracking and communication of forklift repairs as needed Assists in overseeing processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability Keep records of all internal quality assurance/control audit activities (FR audits and worksheets) Assist in processing burn bed mattresses or foundations and paperwork Inspect any sample beds prior to shipping Participates in quality tear down and tracking Completes PHC Excel worksheets and distributes them to departments Maintain, implement, and measure quality assurance/control processes (stamp log, scissor sign-out, glue ratio log, etc) Assists in performing internal quality and safety audits by department-daily, weekly, and monthly Provide written documents as necessary for any updated safety or quality changes or rules Communicate with department employees and leaders for quality defects Preferred
Experience:
In a manufacturing environment Management of small teams Worked with multiple sites Pay is commensurate with experience
