Position Description:
Our rapid growth has created an excellent career opportunity for a Valuation Specialist/Appraiser in our Valuation Department.
The Valuation Department is responsible for the management of commercial and residential appraisals, BPOs, AVMs and internal QC review.
This position collects, analyzes, and reports appraisal related market data through internal and outside sources.
This position will require some commercial appraisal experience/knowledge.
Significant research skills with services like Costar, LoopNet, and Datatree are a plus.
Job responsibilities include:
Research local real estate markets and identify and confirm sales and rental data Assist appraisers with all aspects of completing valuation assignments for both commercial and residential assignments Generate invoice for appraisals/valuations Clarify total invoice amount and address of the associated collateral Tracking the processing (upfront fees) to ensure the fees are confirmed/approved by the client for collection prior ordering report(s) Tracking receivable reports from the third-party vendors Requesting Valuation and Title to order reports daily Maintain the QB database for all loan applications Track status of inspection reports, appraisals and BPO's for all vendors Maintaining and updating the CRT database concerning reports status, prepare correspondence, documents, reports, account invoices Primary point of contact of all vendors, responsible for prompt escalation of any issues to manager Reviewing inspection reports to ensure the quality of report and photos Responsible for ensuring vendors adhere to current and future operational requirements Meet critical deadlines and ensuring adherence with established production and quality standards and goals Serve as point of contact for valuation concerning reports issues/presort issues missing documents for valuation, as well as inquiries from other departments (including sales, processing and credit) Other projects and duties as assigned Requirements Undergraduate degree (four-year college or technical school), or equivalent work experience preferred Minimum 1 year experience in an applicable risk management or valuation environment Experience in Costar strongly preferred Proficiency in MS Office Ability to prioritize and to multitask in a fast-paced environment The ability to self-identity, report, manage and resolve critical issues Excellent organizational and analytical skills High energy, positive attitude Strong interpersonal skills and ability to concisely communicate Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check Must be authorized to work in the United StatesBenefitsoCompensation package - $55,000-$65,000 depending on experience/qualificationsoVacation/holiday pay and 401(k) Plan with company match; benefit package (Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, Life/Accident/Short-Term Disability insurance); Employee Assistance Program EOE M/F/D/V/SO World Business Lenders does not sponsor work visas for this position.
