The Mobile Device Management Specialist is responsible for the efficient and secure management of mobile devices within the organization.
This role involves overseeing the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and security of mobile devices to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:
Device Deployment and Configuration:
Deploy mobile devices to employees and configure them according to company standards.
Install and update device firmware, applications, and settings.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security policies, such as passcode requirements and encryption.
Monitor and manage mobile device compliance with company security protocols.
Respond to security incidents and take appropriate action.
Inventory Management:
Maintain an accurate inventory of all mobile devices within the organization.
Track and manage device assignments, replacements, and retirements.
Remote Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide technical support to end-users for mobile device issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems remotely.
Software Updates and Patch Management:
Ensure that mobile devices are running the latest operating system and application updates.
Schedule and manage software updates to minimize disruptions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of device configurations, incidents, and support requests.
Generate reports on mobile device usage and compliance for management.
Vendor Management:
Collaborate with mobile device vendors and service providers to optimize services and resolve issues.
Training and User Education:
Conduct training sessions to educate employees on mobile device best practices and security guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Mobile App Security
or vendor-specific certifications.
Proven experience in mobile device management and mobile security.
Strong knowledge of mobile device platforms (iOS, Android, Windows) and MDM solutions.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of mobile device compliance regulations, data protection laws, and best practices.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with MDM software and tools (e.
g.
, MobileIron, AirWatch, Microsoft Intune).
Experience with remote device management and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of mobile application management (MAM) and containerization.
Understanding of mobile device encryption and VPN technologies.
Scripting or programming skills for automation and customization.
