$86,529 - $105,000 DOQOPEN UNTIL FILLED Under administrative direction, the Engineering Division Manager performs professional and administrative engineering work in the oversight, coordination, and management of all Engineering Department activities.
Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plans, coordinates, and manages the operations of a division of the Engineering Department; provides management, direction, and guidance to the staff and ensures the effective and professional completion of all department activities.
Reviews, evaluates, and determines scope of work for various work orders, projects, and contracts; attends monthly status meetings of projects, develops strategies for achieving goals, and ensures completion.
Applies and implements technical and professional expertise to large and complex engineering projects and associated personnel; handles more complex and challenging engineering and personnel related issues and concerns.
Ensures that public works capital improvement projects are designed, permitted, and completed in a technically sound, timely, and professional manner; manages projects and provides direction for staff providing project management directly.
Prepares and maintains project budgets and schedules; participates and assists in the development and implementation of budgets and resource allocation.
Coordinates, develops, and implements the design and development of specifications for construction of city facilities; responds to utility emergencies, investigates issues, and makes recommendations for future construction and repair.
Administers, manages, and oversees consultant agreements for engineering services provided to the City by consulting engineers and architects; monitors contract details and ensures the completion of contract deliverables.
Prepares reports and feasibility studies; collects data, compiles information, and presents details to directors and City decision makers.
Plans, prioritizes, and schedules work assignments of staff engineers; manages workload and daily staff activities; handles personnel issues and provides performance feedback and evaluation; delivers technical guidance to staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Licenses, Certifications, and Equipment:
A valid State driver's license is required.
Possession of Professional Engineering license or the ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire preferred.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related engineering field AND five (5) years experience in professional engineering work; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
