Business Analyst with Security Clearance
Avineon is seeking a candidate to support the business analysis functions for a Department of Defense agency.
The candidate will perform work that involves the planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the enterprise structural framework to align IT strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the agency.
A wider range of enterprise-level IT experience is preferred to a deeper understanding of a specific niche for this role.
A focus on IT process over specific implementations is preferred.
o Coordinate with functional business units to identify business needs that can be supported through information technology solutions.
o Articulate business needs through skilled analysis of enterprise business requirements, end-to-end business processes, communication across integrated teams, and facilitation of translating business needs into viable solutions.
o Support business process reengineering efforts.
o Document and evaluate data requirements and information sharing needs.
o Collect and analyze system requirements to formulate and design system specifications for both new and existing information systems.
o Determine capability gaps between current and target systems and develop plans for transitioning to enterprise or consolidated information systems.
o Design the transition from current information technology and information system environments to intended target architectures.
o Align business solutions with new and existing business enterprise architecture.
o Identify opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and utilize emerging technologies.
o Experience with business case analysis, functional requirements gathering, and/or acquisitions lifecycleso Strong technical writing skillso Facilitation skills and presentation skillso Wide understanding of multiple facets of information technologyo Experience with EAM tools (Sparx EA or similar) and/or diagramming tools (Microsoft Visio or similar) is a pluso Knowledge of enterprise architectural frameworks such as DoDAF (preferred), TOGAF, Zachman, or NAF is a pluso Knowledge of portfolio management, DevSecOps processes, and/or change management programs is a plus Education and Other Requirements:
o Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or minimum two years of hands on experienceo Must be able to obtain Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or equivalento DoD IAT 2 certification or higher is a plus but not required (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security
