o Provide systems engineering expertise focusing on requirements analysis, concept/technology development, risk assessments, and verification & validation of Space-based capabilities (government and commercial) and associated ground sensorso Perform research to understand the operational needs of SOF and work with various teams and leadership to develop new capabilities to quantify, describe, and build robust systems capable of successfully performing the mission while operating in current and future contested environmentso Conduct research and assessments of emerging sensor technologies in support of SOF emerging operational requirementso Work with organizational managers, budget personnel, and engineering authorities to develop technical solutions in support of SOF operational requirementso Conduct requirements analysis and decomposition:
translation of military operational requirements into technical specifications with further decomposition into sub-systems, components, and system characteristics along with associated Measures of Performance (MOP)o Support development and staffing of various technical documents in support of Fielding & Deployment Release (F&DR) and Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) activitieso Support government counterparts regarding the adequacy and clarity of engineering and analysis processes based on daily application of the processes and agency reporting requirementso Evaluate and recommend technical solutions to address SOF operational requirements utilizing a professional knowledge of multi-discipline engineeringo Apply advanced tools to document and analyze the results of critical, complex activities and taskso Assist in the development of Statements of Work/Statement of Objectives (SOW/SOO)o Conduct advanced engineering tasks such as reviewing engineering change proposals and requests for waivers and deviations; conduct technical analysis to assess performance and present results and recommendations based on analysiso Provide expert technical level inputs for status briefings to leadership, outlining assigned programs, projects, problems, and recommended resolutiono Support requirements management and traceability of requirements throughout the design, OT&E, and sustainment phases of a system's lifecycle What you will need to have:
o Security Clearance Required:
TS with SCI Eligibilityo Bachelor's degree in STEM field from an ABET-accredited institution plus 10 years of experience in systems engineering, or a Master's degree plus 7 years of experience in systems engineeringo 5 years of relevant experience with sensor phenomenologies, communications systems and design, and multi-atmospheric technologieso 5 years of project management experienceo Familiarity with the DoD and/or NRO acquisition processo Experience in early concept development, requirements analysis, design, test and evaluation, and risk assessment
