Sr. Financial Analyst

SUMMARY Responsible for budgeting, analysis, and overall Finance support of the Manufacturing and Operations organization.
Responsibilities involve developing and refining key business metrics and driving robust analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities, while evaluating possible alternatives and recommending appropriate actions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Collaborating with various personnel to develop and scrutinize Financial budgets and forecasts.
Provide timely and effective reporting and analysis of performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making.
Develop complex financial models to support business decisions.
Perform strategic and scenario analysis to determine present and future financial performance.
Compiles and analyzes financial information ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with US GAAP.
Monthly and Quarterly accounting close activities.
Work on adhoc projects and analysis as required Support for external audit activities as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires knowledge typically acquired through:
Completion of a Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university.
Seven years of experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in financial modeling, business analytics, and FP&A.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to effectively present information to various levels of management and various non-Finance personnel.
Experience with consolidation software solutions (e.
g.
, Planful, Hyperion, etc.
) and query tools (Spotlight, Essbase, SmartView, etc) preferred.
Experience with the Glovia ERP platform preferred.
Experience working in the Manufacturing industry preferred.
Experience with Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Standard Costing practices preferred.
