The Securities & Derivative Intermediate Assoc Analyst is an entry level position responsible for processing securities transactions originating from institutional clients, trading desks, and branch offices in coordination with the Operations, Transaction Services team.
The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
Utilize basic industry and business knowledge to perform settlement and investigation of securities settlement and other counterparty activities.
Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management.
Support implementation of securities processing improvements.
Assist with identifying policy and operation gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processes.
Review and analyze securities and cash settlement activities, review procedures to reconcile cash and securities holdings.
Develop and use knowledge of securities processing practices and standards.
Provide informal guidance or on-the-job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding client's, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparencyEducation Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experienceRequired Skills:
