Data Lead Delivery Oversight Director - USPB/Wealth (Hybrid)

The Data Lead Delivery Oversight Director - USPB/Wealth role will have dedicated responsibility in line management of risk officers conducting second line review and challenge of data risk across the USPB and Wealth businesses.
The individual will be responsible for defining and managing a diverse set of risk reviews from inception through to delivery.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading independent risk reviews with a proven track record in leading risk management activities aligned with the Basel principles governing Operational Risk Management functions.

Responsibilities:
Oversees the execution of the ORM Framework for data risk through the lens of USPB and Wealth, ensuring that operational risk is identified and managed to acceptable tolerance levels.
Manages a team of data risk officer subject matter experts leading a diverse set of risk reviews.
Builds key stakeholder relationships to ensure comprehensive representation in the creation of pragmatic and executable strategies for improving Citi's data risk posture.
Works with colleagues across all three lines of defense in USPB and Wealth to drive challenge activity to resolution.
Demonstrates data/technology risk management thought leadership with respect to challenging the key technologies and practices adopted to build data capabilities in the businesses and functions.
Facilitates accurate and appropriate reporting of operational risks to senior management and regulators.
Demonstrated experience in regulatory and internal oversight engagement.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Perform Governance and Oversight of data risk management.
Working with colleagues in Risk, as well as technology, business and other control functions, the candidate is expected to contribute to:
Development of Policy and StandardsOversight of Key Technology and Cybersecurity Operational Risks and related indicators and thresholdsChallenge Lessons Learned reviews performed by the business and technologyPerform independent operational risk reviewsPerform Issue management oversight and escalationAdvise on best practices leveraging expertise and industry insightsIndependently identify emerging, evolving and previously unidentified data and operational risks.
Qualifications:
15
years of experience in a data management or data/technology risk oversight within globally complex, dispersed, and diverse organizations.
3-5 years leading independent oversight of data risk activities within a revenue-generating financial services organization required.
Proven success leading engagement with business leaders on data risk-related matters.
Managerial experience required.
Advanced Leadership skills and demonstrated experience in operating as a leader, with an understanding and appreciation for diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated experience as a risk manager as both a leader and contributor in designing, executing, and resolving risk-related issues.
Demonstrated analytical ability; asks insightful questions, break analytical challenges into workable components and draws meaningful conclusions.
Well versed in breaking down complex matters into core issues and root causes that can be more readily addressed.
Proficiency in the principles of the data management lifecycle and data governance.
Outstanding communication and influencing skills through all levels of the organization and with external partners and vendors.
Exceptional relationship management skills; must be able to address and resolve conflict while maintaining relationships.
In depth knowledge of operational processes and technology platforms supporting Citi's data operations.
Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to a broad audience.
Proficient in developing new ideas to mitigate risk and improve current processes.
Prioritizes high impact potential problems effectively.
Consistently reads different situations accurately and takes appropriate action to gain senior colleague/ client commitment.
Articulates clearly how risk technology supports unit's business, as well as the issues due to gaps between the current technology and known business requirements.
Education:
Bachelor's/Universitydegree, Master's degree preferred.
Advanced degree (e.

LLB, MSc, MBA) or Certifications (e.

FRM, PRM, CDMP) a plusAdvanced knowledge of the data-related regulatory environment strongly preferred.
