Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator - Web/Portal Administrator to join our IT teamThe primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth operation, security, and performance of our web-based systems and portalsThe ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in web administration, server management, and troubleshooting, along with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solvingThis position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our organization's online platformsResponsibilities Essential Job Functions:
o Administer, configure, and maintain web servers, portals, and related systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
o Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to web servers, applications, and databases.
o Implement and maintain security measures to protect web-based systems from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches.
o Install, configure, and update web applications, content management systems (CMS), and related software as needed.
o Collaborate with development teams to deploy new applications, updates, and patches to web servers and portals.
o Manage domain names, SSL certificates, and DNS configurations to ensure proper functionality of web-based services.
o Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity and minimize downtime.
o Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
o Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in web administration and cybersecurity.
o Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting website issues and answering technical inquiries#CJ Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
o Web and Portal Administration:
Extensive knowledge of web and portal administration and experience working with web-based solutions, including web servers, content management systems, and portal platforms.
o SharePoint Administration:
Experience with SharePoint administration, including site collections, web applications, and service applications.
o Web Technologies:
Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web services.
o Windows Server:
Experience with Windows Server, including active directory, group policy, and server virtualization.
o Security:
Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing secure solutions, including knowledge of security protocols, authentication, and authorization.
o Project Management:
Ability to manage projects and lead teams, including experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
o Communication and Collaboration:
Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical staff.
o DoD regulations and policies:
Familiarity with DoD regulations, policies, and procedures related to information technology, security, and privacyMinimum
Qualifications:
o Associates degree in a related field.
o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field and have a broad understanding of different aspects of IT, including hardware, software, networking, and security.
o Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
o Experience with IT service management practices and a deep understanding of security and risk management.
o Must have SharePoint developer/design experiance.
o Must have an active TS/SCI clearancePreferred
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in a related field.
o Familiarity with government and industry standards, such as NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA, is also desirable working in the Department of Defense.
o CompTIA Security
CE highly preferred.
