JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Specialty Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist must be able to provide patient care by working with third party pharmacy payers and clinician offices to facilitate approval of medications through prior authorizations. Also includes working with patients and a variety of funding sources to obtain financial assistance. Provide telephone support to patients by navigating through pharmacy system(s) to adjudicate claims, refill medications, and increase medication adherence in patients. Demonstrates the skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients to perform specialty program assessments and medication adherence documentation.
Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail / Specialty pharmacy setting, or pharmacy benefits manager system, or 2 years prior experience as a prior authorization pharmacy technician.
High School Diploma/GED required.
Must have and maintain a current registration in the State of Florida as a Pharmacy Technician.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook. In the absence of a current State of Florida, Board of Pharmacy issued permit as a Registration Pharmacy Technician, a current/active Pharmacy Intern permit, issued by State of Florida, Board of Pharmacy may be substituted.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
