Legal Assistant

LHH is seeking a litigation legal assistant interested in a full-time job opportunity in Tampa, FL? We especially want to hear from those with insurance defense experience! We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional for this position. You will be responsible for drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence; filing and e-filing for state and federal courts; and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will be a pleasure to work with, with a no-task-too-small attitude and excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Qualifications:

  • 2
    years of solid litigation secretary experience, experience with insurance defense is a big plus!

  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • A thorough understanding of litigation procedures and the discovery process

  • Solid organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail

  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills with a helpful, proactive mindset

Salary:
$58,000-$65,000/yr.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
