Business and Data Lead Analyst, VP

The Business Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and provides management with analysis and insight of business unit financial projections in coordination with the broader Technology team.
The overall objective is to utilize in-depth disciplinary knowledge to generate and analyze reports as well as contribute to the development of new techniques to improve processes and work-flow.
The analyst may assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, managing employee headcount or coordination of other administrative needs.
May work on ad hoc projects as requested.
Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables.
Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.
Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Develop/coordinate processes (e.
g.
the annual planning and periodic forecasting processes) and review results against plans monthly in support of USPB / Wealth / Infrastructure TechnologyExamine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulationsReview data for accuracy and create required reporting to manage transparency with business partnersProvide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparationParticipate in Technology Book of Work Demand Management Process and continued improvementAddress strategic issues on an ad hoc basis that are complementary to the regular planning and analysis processesDay-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations.
Foster and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, support, testing and development team membersHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

Qualifications:
6-10 years experienceRequires Advance Reporting and Reconciliation Skills including advanced excel expertise, Investments @ Citi, Tableau or comparable software to drive visualization of financial datamust be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starterAbility to prioritize is key as is ability to juggle several tasks at once.
Must work well under pressure whilst, enthusiastic, hard-working and positiveDesire to improve processesTrack record as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services/Investment Banking industry.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussionsAbility to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledgeTeam player and relationship management skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage tight deadlinesAbility to learn/understand some technical implications of system designWillingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answersAbility to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiativePreferred Knowledge of the Technology Software Development Life Cycle and demand management technology prioritization processes Excellent analytical and problem solving skillsEducation:
