Planner

Job Description
The Planner is responsible for scheduling production builds based on material availability and production capacity as defined within the MRP system. Partners with others as needed, including, Production, Program Managers, Engineering, and the Warehouse, to mitigate issues.
Education:
Bachelor's degree (Business/Finance/Engineering/Supply Chain degrees preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience/Requirements:
Minimum of one year of production planning experience in a small to medium size manufacturing company
Strong MRP, MPS, Inventory and Production Control experience
Familiarity with Kanban & visual management in a production environment.
Microsoft experience required, specifically in Excel (using pivot tables, V-lookups, etc.)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Inter, intra-department and external interactions required
Ability to obtain a Government security clearance, if necessary
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Schedule production builds for assigned programs; update production schedules as needed; and ensure timely release of work orders.
Understand production capacity for assigned programs to ensure builds are scheduled efficiently and effectively. Conduct can-builds of material on hand and be able to advise customers of delivery dates based on incoming material.
Report scheduling status to New Product Introduction team, Program Managers and Director; advise on impact to customer ship dates.
Support development and implementation of plans with cross functional partners to meet annual goals which include revenue targets, on time production starts/finishes and inventory goal achievement (inputs and outputs of material)
Customer program point of contact attending Program Management/Customer meetings to provide Planner input.
Report on key metrics including on time starts, WIP status and on time finishes.
Participate in weekly Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) meetings providing inputs on production and material status for current and future builds.
Ensure Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system integrity and accuracy by reviewing system data and updating/correcting to assure that products are built to the latest released revision and that all required changes have been integrated into production builds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
