Responsibilities:
Assist the Human Resources Department with support responsibilities.
Maintain complete confidentiality regarding all personnel issues.
Maintain flexibility with changing deadlines and a fast-paced environment, as required by workload and business priorities.
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Assist with employee relations issues.
Assist in hiring process, recruiting and interviewing.
Performs new employee orientations.
Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of Employee Files.
Verifies I-9 documentation.
Maintains Vista by entering and updating employment data.
Responsible for the accurate filing of all employee paperwork.
Assists the Safety and Payroll departments as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Preferable to have prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially with Microsoft Products.
Must have the ability to handle recurring situations independently and in a calm, positive manner.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
This is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.
Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
There is no possibility for working remotely.
