Summary:
Performs specialized coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) programming. Writes inspection programs for CMM machines in order to generate quality parts in accordance with product specifications. Work is performed under limited supervision with moderate latitude. Position relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach by using and interpreting policies and procedures.

Generates and operates CMM programs for first piece, in-process, and final inspections
Maintains CMM machines to include probe qualifications, regular cleaning and inspection of scales
Reports on fixtures needed to hold products for inspection during product development; sets criteria for instruments and specifications
Communicates with the Quality department to develop inspection methods, tool mapping, First Article Inspections (FAI's), and in process checks for the floor
Revises product programs and documents based on engineering changes, as required
Maintains the Program library in an organized manner so personnel can access information to verify inspection criteria
Communicates with and responds to department managers and operators concerning resolution of Quality related issues
Understands and works toward Quality objectives and cost containment; continually optimizes the inspection process by identifying Quality bottlenecks that hinder production
Assists in composing work instructions

MINIMUM
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical certificate preferred; supplemented by three or more years' experience operating CMM machines in a mid to heavy manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Advanced knowledge of the field of geometric dimensions and tolerances
Detailed knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of the instruments in real world inspection situations, including but not be limited to, calipers, micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and plug and tread Go/No Go gages
Working knowledge of computer software to include, but not limited to Microsoft products (Excel and Word), Adobe PDF, SolidWorks, in-spec metrology software, and internet explorer
General knowledge and understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR820 as it pertains to the job
Skilled in setting priorities that move projects through efficiently to achieve customer and quality objectives
Skilled in working independently and following through with assignments with minimal direction
Ability to read drawings and specifications containing geometric dimensions and tolerances
Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
Ability to clearly communicate and understand information in English, both orally and in writing


Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
