Brief Description of the Organization
CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world. In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis. With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential. This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Description of the Position
The business analyst will report to the business manager for the Chief Operating Officer for Citi Private Bank's Global Managed Investments (GMI) group. The office of the COO for GMI is the strategic partner for initiatives spanning the various product areas within GMI (hedge funds, private equity, real estate, traditional investments, and discretionary asset management) and initiatives where GMI interfaces with other groups Citi-wide. The position is located in Tampa and will be responsible for management reporting and supporting strategy and business development projects across the entire range of Global Management Investments.
Key responsibilities to include:
Support on management reporting of business intelligence and GMI-wide initiatives
Support on management of product launch pipelines
Support to design, implementation, and day-to-day management of certain strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects
Support of business risk and control oversight
This role offers a truly unique opportunity to play a hands-on role in the development and management of strategic solutions for an investments organization within the Private Bank. It offers exposure to senior management across various disciplines and positions the successful candidate for progression within the group or to a position inside another CPB organization depending on experience.
Knowledge/
Experience: Candidates should have basic project management and strategic analysis experience. They should also have an interest and experience in the financial services industry.
Undergraduate degree required in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and work within tight deadlines
Strong team player and detail-oriented
Strong interpersonal, communication (written and spoken) and organizational skills
Skill set:
Required skills include project management, quantitative aptitude, and the ability to effectively synthesize and communicate complex business issues. Fluency with financial modeling and presentations is ideal.
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is expected.
