Software Engineering (App Dev Manager)
Job Description:
Chase Paymentech is lookingfor self-motivated, passionate hands on Software Engineering Manager jointheir Stratus/VOS Front-End development team. This team is responsible for thepayment transaction processing technology behind some of the world's largestretailers. Your proven leadership and technical skills will be tested in a highstakes environment against some of the biggest challenges in the softwaredevelopment of payment processing applications.
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will work with business and ITleadership to understand IT business strategy and their implication toapplication(s) under responsibility. You will be accountable to Business andTechnology Management for end to end application scoping, planning,development, implementation and post-implementation maintenance and support.You will prioritize and manage development and implementation ofenhancements/changes; oversee installations and Release Management includingthe final production acceptance review and signoff; manage the issue resolutionprocess for any application production problems; and oversee OperationsMonitoring and Capacity Management. You will also oversee formal performancetesting process; help manage the relationship with internal and externalservices vendors to ensure superior service delivery for all application coretechnologies; work with Application Developers and Business Managers to defineand monitor Service Level Agreement's and negotiate appropriate supportcommitments for existing products.
This position will lead ateam of 5-7 software engineers and is responsible for recruiting, performancemanagement, employee development and coaching, training and staff readiness.
Basic
Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science.
Experience requirements
Minimum of 3
years experience managing a software development team (preferred)
Minimum of 5
years lead development experience in a C programming environment
Minimum of 5
years lead development experience in a transaction processing application (preferred)
Minimum of 5
years experience and competency with the Stratus/VOS platform/OS
Must possess 3-5 years experience in payment processing industry (required)
