Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of the principles, theories, techniques, practices, mission, and organizational structure of the specific program to assist in supporting SOCOM military personnel program administration responsibilities. Skilled in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness to further operating agency objectives. OR EDUCATION:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of personnel management principles, practice, methods and techniques in integrating personnel management services with the general management of the organization mission requirements, program goals and objectives, regulations, pertinent laws, policies and precedents governing the personnel operations of USSOCOM. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and techniques of unified command organization and operations and of special operations missions, regulations, directives, plans, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of programming, planning and other management tools to accomplish personnel operations and service support programs. Knowledge of DoD Personnel, Physical Security, and Information Security policies and procedures to safeguard, contain, and monitor internal flow of information Skill in developing new or modified work methods, organizational structures, management processes, procedures for administering program services, guidelines and procedures, and automating work processes for the conduct of HR support functions or program operations. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, both orally and in writing, and with a high degree of empathy and tact in dealing with Casualty Reporting. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK
Experience:
Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
