- Functional expertise in reimbursement and health care policy required- Intimate knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care and Private Payor reimbursement process required- Exp.
handling prior authorization- Exp.
working on claim denials; that shows you know how to do insurance billing (this role DOES NOT do any actual billing though)- Must be polished, well spoken and professional.
- Ability to travel within the state (FL) to client sites with sales reps from time to time.
Nice to Haves:
- Medical device or biologics experience preferredDuties/
Responsibilities:
- Obtain benefit verification or opportunities for prior authorizations based on patient's insurance coverage.
- Effectively interface with hospitals, wound care centers and physicians to ensure the highest level of reimbursement is attained- Communicate policy developments to companies reimbursement management that impact the reimbursement of company products- Build relationships with physician, hospital, and third-party payer decision makers - Consistently complete an average of 20-25 benefits verifications (BVs) daily- Demonstrate a strong understanding of payer policies and how to leverage this knowledge to support the benefit verification process- Creation of presentations and the ability to present to all levels of an organization- Onsite visits with customers and participation in sales meetings as neededLocation:
