An Application Developer is needed to provide development and support for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory s (ORNL) Facilities Service Center (FSC). The FSC is based on the Infor s Enterprise Asset Management (Infor EAM) solution. The position is responsible for the development, maintenance, testing and on-going support of enterprise level solutions. This position will work as part of a software development team in Information Technology Services which supports ORNL s Facilities and Operations organization.

Major Duties

This position will create and maintain interfaces that share data between Facility applications and other business systems. In addition, the position will create and maintain Oracle Stored Procedures/Functions/Triggers that enforce business rules; extract or update data using SQL or PL/SQL; and create and maintain Alerts and User Defined Screens within Infor EAM. This position will also become the backup for Infor EAM configuration and system management. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is comfortable working as part of a team (in any capacity) or as an independent contributor. The candidate must demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent written and verbal communications skills. A desire to continuously improve technical skills and identify opportunities where development tools meeting ORNL Standards may be used in place of non-standard tools is expected.

Qualifications

A Bachelor s degree, 2-4 years of experience, and demonstrated professional experience with the following:

  • Experience designing and using relational databases with MS SQL Server 2016 (or later) and Oracle 11g (or later).
  • Experience working with database triggers, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio (VS 2015 or later preferred).
  • Experience with .Net Framework (4 or greater).
  • Experience with responsive design of web applications.
  • Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS 3.
  • Experience facilitating, gathering, and documenting user requirements through application design sessions with business customers.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • This position requires access to technology that is subject to export control requirements. Successful candidates must be qualified for such access without an export control license.

While not required, the following qualifications are desired:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Infor EAM.
  • Experience with ASP.Net Forms/MVC/Web API, Bootstrap.
  • Experience with single-age applications JavaScript frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, Vue.JS).
  • Experience with Microsoft Entity Framework 5 (or greater), LINQ and MVC pattern.
  • Enterprise level experience with the .Net framework in C# & VB.Net.
  • Experience with mobile application development for Android and IOS.
  • Demonstrated understanding of secure web coding techniques to prevent exploits
  • Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
  • Experience in the design, planning & implementation phases as well as support of enterprise level n-tier distributed applications.
  • Experience using Web Brower built-in developer tools.
  • Experience administering Windows Server 2016 (or later)
  • Experience using GIS (Geographic Information System) tools such as Esri.
  • Experience using CAD software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
