1980's Marantz Model EQ140 Graphic Audio Stereo Equalizer For PARTS/REPAIR The item for sale is For Parts or Not Working Item is in Good cosmetic condition ( see pictures ) Upon inspection of the device, I noticed the type of scuffs and scratches that happen with normal use. All ports and connectors are in good cosmetic condition. I was able to power on the device. Audio input tested to be working using an in-house media player (not included) connected via 1/8" to RCA. All inputs (Line in, Tape in) are tested working with a crisp and clean sound. Audio output tested to be working using an in-house powered speaker (not included) connected via RCA. All outputs (Line out, Rec out) are tested working with a crisp and clean sound. Power button, EQ, Selector, Monitor buttons all tested to be working. Most sliders are tested to be working. All move as intended. The 16kHz slider on the right channel has some static and a faint popping noise when in certain positions. I attempted to fix this issue with deoxit and was unsuccessful. The sliders when adjusted will flicker all in unison once in a while and come back to their intended brightness. I could not replicate this on any one slider. I attempted to fix this with deoxit and it was no longer an issue afterwards. No further testing could be completed due to lack of knowledge and/or resources.
