IBM PC JR 4860 Personal Computer & PC JR Keyboard NO Monitor For Parts/Repair The item for sale is For Parts or Not Working Item is in Fair cosmetic condition ( see pictures ) Upon inspection of the device, I noticed the type of scuffs and scratches that happen with normal use. All ports are in good cosmetic condition. There are heavy scuffs and scratches on the outside of the device. There is some discoloration on the device. Some of the keys have some heavy scuffs. The keyboard has severe corrosion in the battery compartment. (see picture #12) I was able to power on the PC device with the included power adapter. I was able to connect an in-house TV (not included) to the device using a Coax converter tip to coax (not included). I was able to see the IBM PC Jr splashscreen, but nothing else come up once the splashscreen goes away. I was unable to further test due to the lack of cartridges and software. The speaker tested working. There is a beep during bootup. The cartridge slots are untested. Most ports on the back are untested. Video ports tested to be working. The floppy drive is untested. I was able to insert an in-house disk and hear it spin but I was unable to verify if it was being read. The keyboard is untested. All keys are intact. No further testing could be completed due to lack of knowledge and/or resources. The device is sold as is for parts, repair or as a non-working item.
